I believe each human soul longs for a daily peaceful intimate connection with God. As we spend time rejuvenating and healing, drawing upon the calming energy of love, the more we see ourselves and people the way God sees them - as beloved. Thus, the more capacity we have to Love them. All workplaces are filled with souls and therefore, important. Each culture and person is a part of the Kingdom, a mission-field.
My current assignment with the Coalition of Care is to mobilize churches in Ohio to effectively care for widows, orphans, and the like using communal tools to love, honor, and support their story.
I am "entering the pit" and am inviting others to "hold the ropes". Workplace Health
Wherever we invest our working hours, there lies a task-oriented mission of excellence amongst relationships and hearts. Workplace health is difficult. Many of the moving parts inside of each of us collide headfirst with others within a 40 hour week. Relational and performance anxiety manifest in all kinds of quirky ways. Relationships spawn and tensions typically follow. This is Kingdom work. How do we traverse the landmines of our own and others personality and come out stronger, more unified, and successful? How do we manage our own internal anxieties while honoring and navigating the anxieties of others?
In previous assignments, anxiety zapped energy and led to dysfunctional distrust and organizational unhealth. BCWI and a lot of other resources have helped me to re-orient and have hope in flourishing cultures where performance, honesty, health, conflict-resolution and many other ideals can be actualized through courageous and competent leadership. I feel like, and believe, I am a warrior.
I felt like a warrior before Christ. Upon reflection, I was a boy wielding too big a sword, hurting myself and others. Now I feel better equipped to fight against darkness, division, slavery, and slaughter. Yet, only when living out of my Belovedness am I able to properly love and lead. Zoweh teaches the rhythms of healing and training required to be a growing asset in the Kingdom. Wherever God calls me to fight and love, I pray I follow. I am in training to usher life and defend the vulnerable.
