Thank You - Blubbering in a Booth: Update #2

Below are some high-level highlights

Past

  • Been so privileged to have ongoing conversations with one of my true heroes. He is a prominent and highly sought after international non-profit and church network leader. I have been following and listening to his content for years. He surprised me with his high-level of conversational attentiveness. He pursued further connection and ended up providing support in my launching without even me asking. Feeling humbled and honored, he role-modeled how to care for the leaders and workers coming up behind me.

  • Attended CAFO Summit and was once again transformed by a feeling of deep connection with friends and bridge organization leaders throughout the country. Being a part of a national network of 70 similar organizations has led to multiple individual and network calls already. Best practices are being shared. The rising tide is raising all boats. Checkout the More Than Enough Network Map launched 4 days ago.

  • Attended an incredibly hopeful event hosted by The Victory Project. They are a light in the darkness in Dayton. Excited to meet with their ED tomorrow to connect to like-hearted leaders for enhanced visibility and services and to mobilize more people to invest in the 45 + young men who live in this refuge as an alternative to street culture.

Present (Today)

  • Currently at 79.16% of known support through 40 committed supporters- and we are waiting on 18 folks to provide us information on their level of support. Excited to get to 100%, and become fully-focused on the mission.

  • Engaging multiple church and community leaders in the beginning stages of mobilization. Down the line will quantify this data and create data-visualization maps to better illustrate current and ongoing impact for kids and families in hard places.

  • Currently in the foundational stage of Asset Mapping the region. Which means seeking first the wonderful people who are already providing care and mobilizing people to care for the least of these.

Future:

  • Will be speaking to a number of student groups in the next couple of months. Always looking for connections and opportunities to share the mission/vision of Coalition of Care. They are the future healers and mobilizers :)

  • Will be speaking on a conference panel called “Love Epidemic” on November 16th for a couple hundred Dayton-based leaders about trauma-skilled integration.

  • Currently have 8-15 more appointments either on the books or in the midst of scheduling.

If you have decided on your level of partnership and would like to finalize by filling out this form, we'd really appreciate it. And Thank You again for everyone who supports this mission and our family. We are pumped for the past, present, and future healing in our hearts and communities.
